The National University of Rwanda/ School of Public Health has a library in its Kicukiro campus, Kigali that possess collections of different scientific books and journals both hard and electronic copies.

In specific, the library has a collection of around 5000 books in 536 titles related to Public Health, Epidemiology, Research Methods among many other areas and also possesses 16 different titles of published scientific journals such as the Lancet, American Journal of Public Health, the East African Journal of Public Health and the Rwandan Medical Journal among others.

The NURSPH Library facilitates the access of up to 33,000 electronic Journals via HINARI and other E-Resource platforms subscribed to by the University. More of this information can be accessed when one makes an inquiry at the librarian’s desk.

The library’s physical infrastructure includes adequate and conducive reading space as well as a computer lab section.

Monday to Friday: 07h30 to 17h00


The following persons are eligible to use NURSPH Library and borrow books:

-  All registered NURSPH students

-  NURSPH Staff (academic, research, administrative and technical staff)

-  External users are allowed access to the library and materials on site only.


-  Book loans are made against valid student cards or staff cards. These cards must be produced when borrowing and returning books at the library.

-  Students may borrow up to 3 books for a period of 2 weeks.

-  Academic staff may borrow up to 3 books for a month (renewable only once).


For students, a fine of RWF 100, each additional late day is incurred and a fine of RWF 200 for the other categories of borrowers.
Electronic Catalogue
Users can access on electronic catalogue online through the NURSPH website.
